HID
XENON
CONVERSION KIT
The xenon bulb produces more than six times the amount of light
of a halogen bulb while only consuming half the power (wattage).
Therefore the driver can see more clearly and the car has more power
for other functions. Moreover it is environmentally friendly as less
power means less fuel consumption.
The polar light produced by the xenon bulb is similar to daylight.
Research has shown that it enables drivers to concentrate better.
Further more, the particular light colour reflects the road markings
and signs better than conventional lighting.
In practical terms the life span of the bulb is equal to that of
the car, which means that the bulb only needs to be replaced in exceptional
cases.
The HID lamp is a system that produces light by putting Xenon gas
and metal halide salts into the light emitting tube installed inside
the HID lamp. The electrons inside the light emitting tube collide
with the metal atoms, using 23,000 volts generated from the control
system (ballast) to produce light.
Compared with the existing halogen bulb, which emits light through
its emitting system (filament) from Dc12 volts, the HID lamp does
not need to replace filament if required due to damage. |
